Sydney, Sept. 23. A tram motor whilst conveying coal to-day, ran off the line near Moore Pork, The driver was killed and the fireman seriously injured. Sept. 25. Arrived Steamship Botomah»na, frrm Auckland. Melbourne. Sept. 24, A fund is being raised hero for the survivors of the ship Derry Castle, and to recoup the captain and crew of the achooner Awaroa, which rescued them from the Auckland Islands. Brisbane, Sept, 25. Ihe barque Westeria, with a valuable cargo, has been stranded on the Queensland coast, and is expected to go to pieces. Launceston, Sept. 25. An outbreak of smallpox has occurred here. Nine cages have already been reported, and one death has resulted.
