SOUTH RANGITATA SCHOOL.
A meeting of the Commissioners of the South South Rangitata School was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday last. Present—Messrs J. M; Naughton (Chairman) and H. Waller.' ' '" The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from the Board of Education, forwarding the names of Messrs R. H: Pearpoint and Job Brown, as having been nominated for the vacancy on the Board caused by the resignation of Dr Poster; also from Mr J. Cunningham, Secretary of the Geraldine School Committee, asking their co-operation to secure Mr Pearpoint's return. —It was resolve d that the Commissioners vote for Mr Pearpoint. . The Chairman stated that the boys' and girls' closets, as was ordered at last meeting, had been separated satisfactorily. Re trimming the fences round the school ground, it was left with the Chairman to see to, and that he see Mr Kimber when in Timaru in reference to his half of the fences. The Master applied for repairs to the gates entering the school grounds, which it was resolved should be done. The Chairman was allowed 10s for stationery and stamps, and after passing some, small accounts for payment the meeting adjourned.
