Gentlemen, —Since your last meeting the contractor has put out all the gravel included and ISO yards extra to the 400 specified, and finished the contract except breaking the big atones, and raking the footpaths. Something should be done to the gravel put on the footpath between the Cemetery road and the Bank of New South Wales in the shape of blinding and rolling. The cost will not be much, and the work is not only incomplete, but destroys the pleasure of walking up the strip of asphalt. The surface men have completed the floating of the asphalt and put the culverts in, but something must be done with the water-tables soon. The work in the large Park has not bsen done. The cattle are allowed to run in the oval. A gate would be better than slip-pannels near the pump, and a turnstile will answer very well in the other place if I get authority to employ libor to do it. The ateps at the pavilion need re* pairing, also the tower, half of the windows boarding up, and one small gate is needed near Cox street. Eeoeipts for the month have been rents, £27 4s 9d ; sale of material, £4 6s. Total, £3llos 9d, which has been paid into the Bank. —I am, etc. 0. B. Shbbbatt, Clerk.
