S.O. Salkiabds CoHPAKT.—The annual meeting,of the South, Bajeyards Company took place on Saturday afternoon. About nine shareholders .were present, and Mr Balfour (Chairman of .Directors) presided. The' report stated that theije had been pat through the yards, during the year 87,628 sheep, 1073 pigs, 1939 cattle, and [463. .horses, the actual profit being £76 14a 6d. They recommended a'divi'dend of 2fr per cent r and that'' the balance, £27 19s 74, should be added to the profit' and loss account.; After a debate it was resolved that no,dividend, should be declared, but that all the nanay should be carried forward.
