London, Dec. 14. The telegrams of yesterday’s data from the Balkan Peninsula, referring to fighting which was alleged to have taken place at Yelikizov, are now stated to be devoid of truth. The latest advices report that at present hostilities have ceased. Dec. 15. The French Government have issued a circular note to the European Powers, favoring the union of Bulgaria and Eastern Koumelia under Prince Alex ander. The Porte has also sent a circular Hate to the Powers, inviting them to an entente cordials oh the Balkan question. Constantinople, Dec. 14. The Sublime Porte has despatched an envoy to Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, in order to confer with Prince Alexander on the present situation.
