Constantinople, Oct. 16. The Porte has issued a diplomatic note.to the Great Powers, in which it is declared that the armaments now being carried put by Greece : threaten the existence of the peace. the latest advices from Bulgaria state that Prince Alexander has placed himself at the head of; his army, and is no* marching upon Adrianopl*. Later. From further information to band in regard to the, reported advance of Princa Alexander of Bulgaria upon Adrianople, it appears that his presence at the head of the army was merely for the purpose of inspection. Oct. 17. Prince Alexander of Bulgaria has acoepted the demand put forward in the collective note from the Great Powers to withhold for the present >ojattempt
to alter the frontier line laid down by the Treaty of Berlin. St. Petersburg, Oct. 16. l'he semi-official Journal de St. Petersburg states that if the warning of the Great Powers is unheeded in Bulgaria, a formal International Conference must be held in order to device a settlement of the difficulty. Vienna, Oct. 16. A report is current here that considerable numbers of Servians are entering the Bulgarian territory. Oct. 17. The report that a number of Servians were entering Bulgarian territory has not been confirmed, and it is believed to be devoid of foundation.
