Sydney. .l it 0 New Zealand wheat, per huso I, is quoted at 3s ; New Zealand oms, 2s lid ; maize, 4s 8J ; .Sugar Company’s No. 1 pieces, per ton, £32. Adelaide, Jan. 9, Wheat is quoted at 3s 6cl to 3s 7d, The market is quiet and easier. There is but a poor enquiry for flour : town brands are worth £8 5s to £8 10s; country do, £7 5s to £7 10s. Melbourne, Jnn. 9. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company held their usual weekly wool sale yesterday, when a fairly representative catalogue of 1700 bales was submitted. The principal feature of the sale was Gibson and Son’s clip, from Scotie, Tasmania, prices for whicti ranged to 16d, while the whole clip, including locks and pieces, averaged 12|d. Fine greasy crossbreds and scoured merinos are still in good demand, and the latter is realising 20d. Washed fleece is dull, and no high prices were realised. ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Jan. 9. Adelaide wheat ex warehouse remains at 38s, and New Zealand ditto at 30s to 36s ; Adelaide flour ex store 25s 6d. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,900,000 quarters, being the same quantity as last week. Australian tallow of average quality is quoted—Best beef, 34s ; ditto mutton, 34s 6d. New Zealand frozen mutton of prime quality is quoted at s£d per lb. Jan, 10. The following are the latest quotations for wheat in warehouse, viz., 39a ; new crop, 375.
