Vallancc’s Salvage ... ... 2 Ladies’ Purse, of 40 sovs. Welter weights for age. Entrance, 0 sovs. One and a half miles. District horses only. Mr T. Quill’s Princess Royal 1 Mr R. Alexander’s Cranmer 2 The attendance was glorious for the second day s racing, and the attendance on the course was good. Handicap Hurdle Rack, of Go sovs. Two miles. Mr J. Forward’s Royalty J ... ... 1 Mr P.Mones’s Pirate 2 Mr W. S, Annitage’s Black Doctor ... 3 Andy, Gaiters, Master Agnes, Captaiu, Marmion and Madge also ran. The start was a wretched one, Andy being left at tbe post. Pirate led past the stand by four lengths, but at the half mile post, Royalty went up to the leader and passed him winning by two lengths. Time, 4min. the fastest ever run on the course. Totalisator dividend, £l3 2s.
