THE NEW MINISTRY.
Wellington, Sept S„ Sir Julius Vogel, Messrar'Stout, Tole, Ballaneo, Richardson, and Reynolds proceeded to Government House to-day, and were sworn in as members of the Government, with portfolios as follows.;— ■
Sir Julius Vogel —Colonial Treasurer, Postmaster-General, and Commis-
sioner of Customs, Mb Stout Premier and Attorney-
General. Mr Ballanoe —Native and Defence
Minister. Mr Idle —Minister of Justice. Hon. Mr Richardson Minster of Public Works, Hon. Mr Reynolds— Without portfolio. Two portfolios are not filled up. A.nd these are to be given to North Island members.’ A new portfolio for mines i® tr. be created, and thus the number of Ministers will he increased. Sir Jaliua> Vogel states that changes would be made hereafter, and apparently things have not been happily settled yet.
