COMBINED HUNT CLUB STETPLECHASES. Ormidale and Rona were the only horses that finished, the former benting Rona by a head. All the rest stuck up at the Park railing fence. Rhodes b g Ivanhoe, aged (12st 31bs) was scratched. The Rip and Te Ngairi stuck up at the Park fence. St. Patrick won rather easily from All Fours. Hunters’ Flat Race, of 15 sovs. Weight for age. Distance 2 miles. All horses to qualify over hurdles. Mr E. S. Rutherford’s b g The Doctor 6yrs, 12st 3lbs ... 1 Mr J. Lukey's ch g Fawn, aged, 12st M 31bs ... -2 Jlilr J. S. Galway and Peter kept together all the way until the third fence from home, where Peter fell, leaving Galway to canter in. Ladies’ Bracelet. Two miles. Winner of the Hunt Club Oup to carry a penalty of 71bs. Miss Armitage’s b g Rona. aged, 12st Slbs ... ... (Mr ?. Jones) 1 Miss Godby’s i m Flirt, aged, 12st31bs, (Mr A. Delamaine) 0 Ormidale, The Masher and Jumbo were scratched. Flirt could not be persnaded over the Park obstacle, and Rona walked in as he liked. Consolation Handicap Steeplechase. Distance, 2 miles. Mr F. J. Ashby’s g g All Fours, aged, list 71b (Owner) ... ... 1 Mr J. Melton’s b m Myrtle, aged, list (Owner) ... ••• ••• 2 f Mr J. R. Brown’s Peter, aged, list (Mr P. Jones) ... -.. 3 Cameo (lOst 101 b), Jack (10s t), Caliph (lOst), and Billy (list 71b) also started. This event concluded a most enjoyable meeting. During the day there were a good many spills, but no one was hurt. 2he Park fence caused a good deal of amusement to the spectators, by the great number of baulks which occurred there. Messrs Hobbs and Goodwin had a totalisator on the ground, and succeeded in putting through a large sum of money.
