A fr° m Wellington dated Saturday, Bays that ' Maior Atkinson is not quite go well as he wan on Friday. He lias experienced great difficulty lately in sleeping, apparently in oonaequeuo* of overwork and excitement. The Cabinet meeting which it had beeu intended _to hold to-day could not take place, owing (o vhe Premier's indisposition.' It is reported that either Mr J. C. Richmood or Mr Geo. Maclean is to be the Minister without portfolio in the Leglatrve Council. The resignation of the. Hon. Walter Johnston is gazetted. The chief Wabanui has Hot y«t arrived in Wellington, and it is belioved he i? visiting the natives at varioua pahs between there and Wanganui. The correspondent of a contemporary says ' The Piemieris etill laid up with bronchitis. Mr Rolleston nominally leads the House, but there is really nothing being done, or likely to be done, until Members arrive and the Premier ie in his place. It is thought in Wellington that the Session will be very short. _ The Opposition are in a decided majority at present.'
