The reports of the examiners were approved, and a hearty vote of thanks to them was passed. The Secretary was instructed to communicate with the parents of a certain number of children at the top of the list in each class, to ascertain to what schools it is proposed to send the children. This information is necessary to enable the Board to distribute the scholarship grant, as in cases of children who have to leave home to attend a school where secondary subjects are taught, an extra sum is allowed for lodging money. This year the amount available for distribution is about £174. The meeting then terminated.
