GERALDINE COUNTY COURSING CLUB.
The annual general meeting of the members of the Geraldine County Coursing Chib was held at the Crown Hotel, Geraldine, on Monday evening last. Mr T. Farrell, one of the Yice-Presi-sidents of the Club, occupied the chair. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Hon. Secretary (Mr D. McKenzie) read the balance sheet for the past year, which, on the motion of Mr Pearpoint, and seconded by Mr Lawson, was passed as read. The election of officers for the ensuing year was then proceeded with as follows; President, Mr W, U. Slack (unanimously re-elected) ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs Pearpoint and Mundell. Proposed by Mr Pearpoint, seconded by Mr Connelly and carried —“ That the Committee consist of five members, together with the President and two Vice Presidents as ex officio members, four to form a quorum.” Resolved —“ That Messrs M. Connelly
and T. Farrell, who have retired by ballot from the Committee, be elected thereon in the stead of Messrs Lawson
and Cunningham who have resigned.” Proposed by Mr Pearpoint, seconded by Mr Mundell, and carried—“ That, as a recommendation to the Committee, this meeting deem it desirable that all future meetings be held in the three hotels in Geraldine alternately and, all meetings of Committee be called by post card.”
A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting. A Committee meeting was afterwards held, Mr Pearpoint, one of the VicePresidents, in the chair. Mr D. McKenzie, having resigned the Secretaryship of the Club through press of other business, it was proposed by Mr Mundell, seconded by Mr Warner and carried—“ That Mr A. Fisher be elected Secretary.” Mr M. Connelly was appointed treasurer.
Proposed by Mr Pearpoint, seconded by Mr Farrell, and carried—“ That the Secretary ascertain the dates ot meetings of the various clubs, and lay the same before a meeting of this Committee, to be called at an early date.” Pfoposed by Mr Pearpoint, seconded by Mr Farrell, and carried—“ That the meetings of Committee he held at alternate hotels, and that all meetings be convened by post card. ” The meeting then adjourned, with the usual vote of thanks to the chair.
