ST. SAVIOUR’S CHURCH, TEMUKA.
After evening service at the above church last night, a meeting was held to consider what steps should be taken with regard to the annual gathering. The Rev. T. Hamilton occupied the chair, and slated the object for which they had met. He thought they ought to hold a gift auction ss well as a tea and concert, and make a whole day of it, so as to offer more inducements to persons from a distance. He also suggested that it would be advisable to take steps to induce the Winchester people, who were about getting something up on their own account, to join with them. After some conversation, it was decided to hold the annual gathering in Easter week, and to appoint a Committee, who would have power to fix the date. It v - decided that all present should fo;-.;-, a Committee, with power to add to their number, and that a gift auction as well as a tea and entertainment should be held, provided sufficient inducement should offer. The meeting, after having arranged minor matters, then came to a close.
