AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Sydney, Jan. 18. New Zea'and wheat, per bushel, 3-i (51 ; New Zealand oats, 3s 5d (sic); maize, 4s Oil ; Susrar Company's No. 1 pieces, per ton, £34, Adelaide, Jan. 18. Wheat, per bushel, 4s to 4s Id ; market quiet and irregular, and quotations nominal, Flour is dull ; town brands, £lO ; country do, £9 to £9 5s ; freights to London, steamers 455, do sailing, 85s ; freights to the United Kingdom from Adelaide, cereals, 35s ; freights to the United Kingdom from outports, 37s 6d to 40s; freights are firm, but charters are unsettled and falling.
Melbourne, Jan. 22. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Companj of New Zealand (limited), reports on the local grain market as follows : Wheat is in moderate enquiry at 4s to 4s Id ; malting barley, 4s to 4s 6d, quotations nominal ; New Zealand oats, feeding sorts, are in favor of buyers at 2s 13d to 3s Id ; milling, do, are in request at reduced prices of 3s Id to 3s 2d ; New Zealand oat?, under bond, 2s 5d to 2s Bd, prices are barely maintained.
