FRENCH HOSTILITIES IN MADAGASCAR.

London, Nov. 25. Telegrams have reached here from Madagascar stating that active hostilities have been resumed by the French fleet under Admiral Gallibar. Wokemar, a coast town, has been bombarded by the French warships. The principal buildings were burned, and a number of persons, among whom were five British subjects were killed. The attack was carried on with great severity, and the town shelled for several hours. A large amount of property, owned by neutral natives as well as by Hovas, was destroyed.
