AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Melbourne, Sept, 1 25. The Melbourne Manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, reports of the'local grain market as follows: The wheat market is depressed, shipping parcels, 4s lOd ; medium, 3s 9d to 4s 4d ; maltidg barley, 5s to 5s 9d, market sluggish ; New Zealand oats are in fair demand ; feeding sorts are worth 3s to 3s 2d ; milling ditto, 3s 2d to 3s 3d; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2s 2d to 2s sd. , ENGLISH MARKETS. London, Sept. 22. The catalogue at to-day’s wool auction comprised 10,000 bales, which were •offered to a firm market for all but’ low to inferior qualities, which, remain generally dull. No changes to report in colonial breadstuff’s or tallow. Sept. 24. The grain market has an upward tendency. Adelaide wheat, ex store, has advanced to 45s 6d. New Zealand ditto remains at 40s to 44a. Off coast cargoes of New Zealand wheat are quoted &iAis(stc). Adelaide flour, ex store, is worth 335, : At to-day’s wool sale the cata'ogue comprised 10,600 bales. The tone of the sale was again firm.
