SUPREME COURT, TIMARU.
[Before His Honor Mr Justice Johnstone.] The half yearly criminal session of the Supreme Court, commenced yesterday at Timaru. George Robsonwas found guilty and sentenced to nine calendar months' imprisonment with hard labor, for stealing a silver watch and chain from James Meiler on 10th March. Benjamin Bradford was found guilt}' and sentenced to three calendar months' imprisonment with hard labor for forging a bank order for £l4 John Quinn was sentenced to two years' penal servitude for forging a cheque on the Bank of New Zealand for £44. .Edward Ford was sentenced to six months' imprisonment with hard labor for stealing£3 belonging to Michael Shea. The Grand Jury found no bills against Michael Quinn, charged with stabbing himself and also in the case of J. J. Farrell, charged with embezzlement
