Choir Sings at Service For Mr. G. F. Whitworth

After a service at St. Mary's Anglican Church yesterday afternoon the funeral of Mr. G. F. Whitworth, whose death occurred suddenly at Hawera on Saturday afternoon, left for the Hawera cemetery. The Rev. Canon D. B. Malcolm conducted the service, which was attended by the choir, of which Mr. Whitworth was a member. The choir preceded the casket into the church and sang "Abide With Me," and during the service the 23rd Psalm was sung. The recessional hymn was "Praise My Soul." A Masonic service was held in addition at the graveside. Included in the procession of 30 cars which formed the cortege were directors and members of the staff of the Farmers' Co-op. Organisation Society of New Zealand Ltd., by which Mr. Whitworth was employed, fellow Masons, and members of St. Mary's Church.
