Whangamomona Events

A smoke concert was arranged at Whangamomona by railway workers and friends to farewell Mr. B. Courtney, who is on transfer to Makino, near Feilding. Mr. Jack Rice was in the chair. Numerous toasts were honoured. The chairman called upon Mr C. Hardingham to make a presentation to the guest. Mr. H. Evans (Railway Officers' Institute), Mr. Ted Jennings (maintenance), and Mr. S. Cooper (maintenance), spoke. Mr. Joe Anderson played the bagpipes.
