Conditions were unpleasant for work ott thc New Plymouth tracks yesterday morning in preparation for Saturday's Combined Hunt Clubs' meeting at Hawera. Because of the state of the course proper ■the inside was uscd. Mountain Fox and Come True workcd half a mile separately, and Chief Nut and Hunting Comet went together over a simi« lar distance, but were riot timcd. Brolefort Star did pace work. Minority did five furlongs at working pace and Mansura was given pace work. Starlet and Ausjle Ra were given a Avafurlong task.
