Te Roti Presentations
A social eventng was tendered to Lorporal Condon, Private Clements and I'rtvate Hills at Te Roti. Cards and dancing were lield. Mr. Metcalf, chairman oi the war workcrs' committee, presented each oi the guests with a gift. Mrs. Bloor spoke on belialf of the Women's Institute, and Messrs. G. Galloway and J. Quin also spoke. Shoulder sprays were presented to Mesdames Condon, Clemen(g, Hills and Miss Shearer. Competitions were won by Mrs. C. Feron and Mr. P. Clements (cards), 'and Monte Carlo dances -by Mr. and 'Mrs. S. Cdlefnan and Mr. G. Walshe ' and ' partuer. Supper was serve'd hy the committee. Musical items were given hy Mesdames Metcalf, Fowler, Kelly and Feron. Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Fowler, who visited Mr. and Mrs. G. Fowler, have returned to Wellington. Miss V. Barkla, Hawera, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. W. Alexander. Miss M. Myles is visiting Waverley. Mr. K. Rudkin, Te Awamutu, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. P J. Clements. Miss A. Bloor is visiting Otakeho. Mr. R. Mansfleld is visiting New Plymouth.
