Contribution to A.N.A. Club. ' The monthly contribution dispatched to the A.N.A. Club at Wellington by the Hawera branch of the Women's War Service Auxiliary consisted this month of two sacks of vegetables and 12 dozen eggs. Roy Breaks CoHarbone. Billy Moeahu, Okaiawa, aged eight ; years, received a broken coilarbone when a cow which was chasing him trod on his shoulder. He Vas admitted to the Hawera hospital and his condition last night was reported to be satisfactory. Competitions Society Presentation. A presentation was made to Sergeant Stewart Nairn at ihe Hawera competitions festival on Tuesday night. In making the presentation the chairman of the Hawera Competitions Society committee, Mr. F. W. Horner, said Sergeant Nairn had given up the last two days of his leave to pipe for the national dancing. Sergeant Nairn had begun competing in the dancing and singing classes at the age of five years with considerable 6uccess, and for the past four or five years he was official piper. Child Fractures Arm. Shona Trass, Mangatoki, aged 11 years, who fractured an arm when she fell from a tree, was admitted to the Hawera hospital yesterday. She was reported . last night to be progressing favourably.
