Five Offices Secure National Savings Quota
National savings quotas were secured by flve olllees in the New Plymouth postal district, Awakino-Mokau, New Plymouth, Hawera, Opunake and Urenui. AwakinoMokau secured its quota on Monday. New Plymouth secured its quota on Tuesday, and had a carry-ovCr of £682. In the 1268 national savings accounts opened in the New Plymouth Savings Bank the amount deposited for the week was £1877 12s 4d, making a total amount on deposit £86,434 14s 2d. There are 130 groups operating, and the amount deposited for the week in thc 2225 accounts was £291 6s lld. The total amount on deposit is £15,146 14s,
