At an event at Brixton in aid of E-P-S. funds flrst-aid certiflcates were presented by Mr. E. Franks on behalf of the bt. John Ambulance as follow's:— 'Second year: Mrs. W. McCaul, Miss M. Schridcr. E. Aleston, B. Mace, J. Alare, N. Mace, 1Montgomerie and Messrs. R. GooarlCK, lClark and W. A. McCaul. Euchre play resulted: Mrs. E, Hopson 1, Mrs. R. Mace 2; Mr. F. Mace 1, Mr. Franks 2. Monte Carlo danees were won
by Mr. and Mrs. Denly and Mr. Hohlnson ahd Aliss Langman. , At a social evening held in the honie of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Andrews in aid oi patriotic funds, euchre prizewinners were Mrs. W'. McCaul 1. Mrs. H. Limmer 2, Mrs. Poietti hidden liumber; Mr. J. Turner 1, Mr. T. White 2, Mr. W. Johnston hidden number. _ . A gift evening was held at Brixton in honour of Atiss Alaida Jury before her marriage. Fluchre prizes were won by Mrs. W. AlcCaul and Mr. W. Johnston. A Aionte Carlo dance was won by Air. E. Jordan and Afiss E. AtcCaul. Air. A. L. Hooper was master of ceremonies. Air. W. AlcCaul, on behalf of Brixton-Huirangi residonts, presented a table of gifts to Aliss Jury. At a pantry afternoon in honour of Miss Jury presentations were made by the Brixton basketball team and by the Brixton W.T3.F.U. Euchre play resulted: Alrs. H. Andrews 1, Mrs. H. Limmer and Alrs. Hopson 2. " ..... At a meeting of settlers the following were appointed a district committee of the primary production council: Aiessrs. \V. AtcCaui (chairman). H. Alacc (secretary), \V. Hall, B. L. Longstaff and A. E. Rowe.
