Community Carting System Urged.
The need for suppliers voluntarily to inaugurate a community carting system, before transport zoning was enforced compulsorily, was emphasised by Mr. F. E. Morris, chairman of the Royal Oak Dairy Company, at the annual meeting last night. A rigid survey of the transport available among suppliers was needed so that existing regular collecting services could be used to the full, or horsedrawn transport substituted where possible.
