Te Roti: The September meeting was well attended. Mrs. Ron Sharp was elected a new member. Mrs. Stokcs presided. Mesdames Henry and Bloor were elected delegates to the council meeting. Watson tendered her resignation as secretary, Miss A. Collins filling the vacancv pro tem. The trcasurer, Mrs. R. Smith, reported that flag five hundred evenings in aid of local soldiers' Christmas parcels had been successful. The hostesses were Mesdames Brimelow and Tynan. A working bec to pack parcels will be held at thc hall. Arrangements for the spring show. procccds of which are to go to the soldiers' parcel fund, were finnlised. Upper Mangorei: Mrs. H. Wcst presided at the monthly meeting. It was decided to forward ls per member towards the Spitfire fund. Mrs. Johnston and Mrs. Roberts were appointecl delegates to attend the half-ycarly council meeting at Stratford. A bring and buy stall, the proceeds of which is to be forwarded to the Makogai lepers. was well patronised. Competitions resulted: Knitted beret. Mrs. L. Roberts 1, Mrs. B. Sulzberger 2. Mrs. Spencer 3: best bloom, Mrs. R. Balsom 1, Mrs. I. Roberts and Mrs. G. Spencer 2 equal: wandering shilling. Mrs. L. Kruse. Hostesses were Mrs. L. Roberts and Mrs. L. Kruse, and competitions stewards Mrs. Spencer and Mrs. ^dford.
