A bring and buy was held in the HurI ford hall by the women's social patriotic I committee. A competition for a handI worked cushion given by Mrs. Bii'd, j senr., was won by Mrs. Banks. A pro- • gressive euchre party followed, the winj ncrs being: Mrs. Elwin and Mis, Hoff- ' man 1, Mrs. F. Krutz and Mrs. O'SulliI van 2. Mrs. Banks, consolation. Prizes { were given by Mrs. S. Vickers. It was | decided to send £5 5s to the Spitfire fund. ! Per-onal. | Mrs. J. Thomas has returned from hosI pital. Mrs. F. O'Sullivan is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. T. Walsh. A euchre party in aid of the patriotic committee was held in the Hurford hall, i winners being, Mrs. F. Krutz 1, Mrs. R. : D. Spence 2. Mr. E. Spcnce 1, Mr. Len Spcncc 2. Winners of a previous euchre party were Mrs. Lynch and Mr. V. Grccn, both of whom gave baek their I prizes to the funds.
