Treacle for Pigs.
Treacle is quite suitable as a source of carbohydrates for pigs. A suitable quantity is from loz to 8ozs per day, the former amount being suitable for a small pig, and the latter may be regarded as the maximum for an adult pig. The treacle is best dissolved in warm water and added to the meal part of the ration. Keeping Eggs Fresh. Really fresh eggs will keep for a week if dipped for one minute in boiling water, and for six months if steeped in sweet oil.
