"It is rather unfortunate that during the last 12 months we have lost several of our most enthusiastic schoolmasters," commented the chairman. Mr. S. J. Hollard. "This is a blow to the clubs." Sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr." L. Preece was expressed at a meeting of the executive of the South Taranaki Boys and Girls' Agricultural Clubs' Association at Hawera on Saturday. "I wish to refer to the very serious loss the boys and girls' clubs have sustained by the sudden death of Mr. Preece." said the chairman, Mr. S. J. Hollard. I think for a man of his age there are very few men who have attained the popularity in public life that Mr. Preece attained. His loss will be a severe one to the community. I have judged with Mr. Preece and always with great pleasurc. It is with a great sense of loss that I extend to Mrs. Preece and ihe children our sincerest sympathy."
