TRIBUTE TO MEMBERS

ALPINE CLUB SOCIAL Messrs. R. Armstrong, E. Drake and W. O'Shannessey, former members of the club's committee who have enlisted for service overseas, and Mr. W. Adams, who is to go into camp with the territorials, were farewelled by members of the Mount Egmont Alpine Club at the weekly soeial on Thursday night. Mr. R. Syme made particular referenee to the activities of Mr. Drake as treasurer of the club, and of Mr. O'Shannessy as a member of the social committee. Mrs. J. M. Collins gave a talk about her experiences abroad, speaking chiefly of sporting activities ir England.
