Mrs. A. G. Bennett held a next-of-kin afternoon at her residence on Monday. Photographs from overseas were exhibited and knitting. was undertaken. Mrs. Bennett dispensed afternoon tea. Miss P. Spooner, of the staff of New Plymouth hospital, is the guest of her mother, Mrs. W. R. O. Spooner. Miss P. Burke, Stratford, paid a visit to her mother, Mrs. C. A. Burke, at the week-end. Mrs. Faher, Auckland, who is the guest of Mrs. A. G. Bennett, will leave for her home at the week-end. Miss L. Joyce, Okaiawa, is the guest of Mrs. W. R. 0. Spooner. Mrs. J. Manson was the guest of her sister, Mrs. L. Quin, Eltham, for the week-end. Misses M. Hodgson and Birkett, of the staff of the Hawera hospital, were the guests of Mrs. J. Hodgson at the weekend.
