Heslop, wife of the president, welcomed the guests in a gown of black floral patterned georgette. The entrance hall was decorated with ferns and yellow kowhai and the rooms with bowls of pink camellias, spring bulbs with ferns and cherry blossom decorating the walls. A dance was held at the aerodrome clubrooms this week to raise money for the Spitfire fund. A cake made and donated by Mrs. G. Petrie raised £5 and was won by Miss Hazel Femmel.
