HAWERA SHOP DAY

W.D.F.U. PLANE FUND The W.D.F.U. plane fund benefited yesterday by more than £30 as the result of a shop day held by the Hawera branch of the W.D.F.U. The effort was one of the most successful yet held by the branch, heavily laden stalls being cleared as produce arrived. Competitions held in con.iunct.ion with the shop were won by Mrs. W. Seed, Matapu (dinner), Mrs. Oldfield. Okaiawa (cake), Mrs. Sly, Tokaora, Mrs. Doris Swadling (chocolates).
