PATRIOTIC FUNDS

VISIT BY SECRETARY Mr. G. A. Hayden, secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board will visit Taranaki this week-end. His visit was arranged bcfore the meeting of the Taranaki Patriotic Council meeting on Monday, but advantage will be taken of his visit to discuss points raised at the meeting. Mr. Hayden will arrive on Sunday, and a speeial meeting of the council has been called for Monday morning. In the evening he will meet the New Plymouth patriotic committee. A discussion with representatives of the New Plymouth branch of the Returned Soldiers' Association has been arranged for Tuesday, and later in the day he will probably visit Hawera.
