AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE
Adelaide, Sept. 23. The Minister for the Army, Senator McBride, stated that large scale recruiting for the A.I.F. was not likely to be resumed until some of the troops now in training were sent overseas. A Melbourne cable says that plans for raising a home defence force of 250,000 men will not be affected by any decision which may be made to send AXF. troops to the Middle East.
