N.I.M.U. SUGGESTION The suggestion that Mr. F. E. Rae, officer of the Automobile Association (South Taranaki), who has enlisted for active service, should, in the event of his being called up, be placed m charge of the North Island ambulance, which is being given to the Army Department for home use, is contained in a letter to the department from the North Island Motor Union. . The suggestion is not that Mr. Rae should be called up expressly to assume the position of ambulance driver, but that iri the event of his being called up' in the usual way his services should be' reserved for the purpose for which the union is of the opinion he has the necessary qualifications.
