SPRING MEETING FIELDS USEFUL HORSES ENGAGED

Palmerston N., Last Night. Useful fields are engaged at the Wellington Trotting Club's spring meeting, which takes place at Hutt Park to-mor-row. Chief interest will centre in the Wellington Stakes, the first three-year-old classic of the season. The field is a good one and includes Special Force, the crack two-year-old last term, and Walter Moore, who created a two-year-old mile record of 2m 10 4-5s for the southern hemisphere. The win and place system of betting will be used. The following may be well supported:— Nai Nai Trot: Vain Lad, Hatrack, Biworthy. Sharpe Handicap: Neutrality, Ngarimu, Roma Direct.
