STRATFORD
Mrs. J. H. Leadbetter, New Plymouth, is the guest of her sister, Mrs. W. P. Mark. Mai! Jongg. Mrs. G. A. Carter was hostess at three tables of mah jongg on Thursday afternoon. A donation was made to the Spitfire fund. The drawing room was decorated with vases of blue Argentine pea, flowering currant and rhododendron. The hostess wore a frock of multi-coloured faille. Among those prcsent were Mesdames N. O. Ebbett, W. H. Simons, N. TI. Moss, R. Stokes, E. W. McCullough and R. E. Carrycr and Misses B. Mastcrs, M. Malone, L. Penn, J. Hale and 0. Mastcrs.
