PERSONAL
Lieutenant W H. Fowler, Tauherenikau, spent the week-end at Waverley. Lieutenant W. Moffitt, Trentham, who has been the guest of Mrs. I. Lupton for several days, has returned to camp. The Mayor of Hawera, Mr. L. H. Clapham, was appointpd at a meeting of the Hawera Borough Council on Monday night to represent the council on the Taranaki Provincial Centennial Celebrations Committee. A former resident of Kapuni and later of Tokaora, Mr. H S. (Harry) Wright, Argyle Avenue, Papakura, died recently in the Auckland hospital. After leaving South Taranaki he lived for some years at Matamata. He leaves a widow, two sons and six daughters, Messrs. Ashley Wright (Matamata) and Sefton Wright (Okoroire) being the sons, and Mesdames Ben Bloor (Manaia), J. Beck (Auckland), G. Webb (Matamata), H. Smith (Ramarama), E, Naylor (Helensville) and Miss A. Wright (Okoroire) are daughters.
