WAVERLEY BASKETBALL

Mrs. P. V. Graves, president of the Waverley Basketball Club, entertained members at her home on Saturday. Mr. T. Linehan, who has coached the teams, thanked Mrs. Graves for her hospitality, and Miss Betty ' Bosher, captain, also thanked Mrs. Graves. Games and competitions were played, the winner of an animal competition being Miss Myra Morrison. Cards and Dance at Kohi. There was a large attendance at Kohi hall on Friday night, when the Kohi Women's Institute held a card party and dance, the proceeds being donated to the V/averley branch of the Red Cross Society. . Mrs. Cunningham, Waverley, thanked the institute. The winners of flag 500 were Mrs. C. Horden, Mrs. F. Cunningham, Mr. B. O'Connor and Mr. B. How. The winner of a 10s order was Mrs. Jack Lupton, and waggon covers given by Mrs. R. Southcombe were won by Mrs. Anderson, Statioh Road. Music for dancing was supplied by Mrs. Harden, Mrs, Boyne, Miss Estelle Hammond and Mr. W. Powell.
