WEDDING

SUTTON— BUCKLEY

The wedding was held at the Knox ipresby terian Church, Inglewood, of Esme Muriel Buckley and Louis Robert Sutton. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Buckley, Waitui, and the bridegroom the third son of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Sutton, Inglewood. The officiatmg minister was the Rev. Mr. Faulkner. Mrs. Ross played the wedding music, and Mrs. Dyson sang a solo at the signing of the register. The church was decorated by friends of the bride. While the bridal party was at the altar they stood on an Egyptian prayer rug which belonged to the bride's parents. The bride, escorted by her father, w;ore a gown of ivory patterned satin with a heart-shaped neckline, and white covered buttons down to the waistline which was made with a bustle back. The skirt fell to form a long court train. The sleeves were pleated on the shoulder, full to the elbow, tight fitting to the wrist, and pointed over the hands. Her veil of silk net fell from a coronet of organdie fiowers and silver leaves to form a long second train. She wore silver shoes and carried a shower bouquet of freesias, jonquils and maidenhair fern tied with satin ribbons. Misses Irene Buckley, sister of the bride, and Phyllis Wellington were bridesmaids. They were dressed alike in spring green taffetas. The backs were made tight fitting to the waist with bustle, and the skirts fell to form a train. The gowns were finished with heart-shaped necklines. They wore black mittens, black velvet shoes and large spring green picture hats of stiffened net, with black bows under the brims and black velvet streamers down the back. They wore strings of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried bouquets of orange marigolds, daffodils and maidenhair fern tied with gold streamers. The best man was Mr. C. Porteous, Inglewood, and Mr. C. Buckley, Waitui, was groomsman. To receive guests from Hamilton, New Plymouth, Inglewood and surrounding districts Mrs. Buckley wore a navy frock relieved with salmon trimmings under a musquash fur coat with navy accessories. She carried a posy of violets, freesias and maidenhair fern. Miss Nacy Mclntyre sang at the reception, accompanied by Mr. J. Wellington. Mrs. Sutton wore a frock in a violet shade with an old gold vest and hat to match. She wore a brown fur stole and parried a posy of violets, freesias and maidenhair fern. The bride set off for her honeymoon in a model frock of grain green wool georgette. She carried a black Canadian fur stole, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Sutton will make their home at Inglewood. Mr. and Mrs. Buckley entertained friends at the Waitui hall in the evening.
