IN HONOUR OF DEAD
TEMPORARY TABLET Former punils of the New Plymouth Boys' High School who lose their lives on active service will have their names engraved' • -on a temporary (ahlet dedi--cated, in St. Mary's .Church,.. New Plymouth, yesterday morning. When hostilities cease it will be replaced fctf a brass tablet similar to that in the church commemorating the men killed in the Great War. Besides pupils of the school and members of the girls' Bible class there was a large congregation, mostly young people, at the 9.30 a.m. service yesterday when the temporary tablet was dedicated by the Ven. Archdeacon G. H. Gavin, who also said the war intercessions. The sermon was preached by the Rev. F. Hart. The plate, which is appropriately ornamented, contains nine names at present. They are': Augustus Harold Jervis Ryan, Desmond Charles Reid Carter, John Clutha Casey, Cedric Nicholas Whittington, Charles Alan Washer, Martin John Gilmer, John Oscar Lloyd Stephenson, Hubert John Keller ahd Leonard Williarn Bennett.
