OPP.RA HOUSE ATTR ACTION. A sparkling potpourri of popular new melodies springs forth from the lively larynxes of Bing Crosby, Dorothy Lamour and Bob Hope in Paramount's fun -filled safari into the South Seas, "Roa 1 to Singapore," which will screen to-night at the Opera House Hawera. Once again Faramount has called upon tliat ace writing team. Jolinny Burke and James V. Monaco, to write a good portion of the tunes. Their work ^ for this picture includes "Too Romantic, a number which has al ready been aired many limes. "Sweet Poiato Piper," a swingy novelty turic, and "Kaigoon, ' the numbcr to which Le Roy Prinz's dancing girls perfonn. The other two numbers heard in the picture are the work of lyricist Johnny Burke and Victor Schertzinger, versatile director of the picture. They are "Captain Custard." and "The Moon and the Willow Tree.' "Road to Singapore" finds Bing and Bob singing their merry way to the South Seas to get. away from the girls. However. they run smack into Dorothy Lamour and fall in love with her.
