INGLEWOOD ACTIVITIES

The committee of the Inglewood Municipal Band held the second patriotic community sing in the town hall, Inglewood. The leader of the community singing was Mr. L. Higginson, of • the New Plymouth Ex-Patients' Association, assisted by the following New Plymouth artists: M'iss King (songs), Misses Richards (duet), Mr. Sheehan (guitar) and Messrs. Wright and Summers (comic songs). Many articles donated were auctioned. At the conclusion of the evening Mr. H. Patterson, on behalf of the band, thanked the visiting artists. He stated that the Inglewood committee would benefit to the extent of approximately £13. Mr. C. D. Lowden expressed appreciation of the patriotic comtnittee's efforts in providing money for the forces overseas. Mr. Higginson replied on behalf of "the artists.
