STRATFORD QUOTATIONS Little change was noted in Stratford market prices during the week. Tree tomatoes are now reported off the market. The usual fluctuations were shown in the auction saies of poultry and a larger offering than. for the previous week was available for buyers. Egg prices remain about the same. Yesterday's quotations were:— Fruit: Apples, 3s 9d to 5s half bushel, 6s to 12s 6d a ' bushel, 3d to 5d lb; bananas 6d lb; pears, 8d lb; lemons. 2s dozen; oranges, 2s, 2s 6d and 3s dozen; Australian grapefruit, 4d to 6d each; New Zealand grapefruit, 4 and 5 ls; Island tomatoes, ls 2d lb. Vegetables: Potatoes, 81b ls; cabbages, 4d to 8d each; spring cabbage, 4d to 8d each; lettuce, 3d and 4d each; kumeras, 6d lb; onions, 41b for ls; cauliflowers, 6d to lfe 6d; celery, 8d to ls a head; beetroot. 3d a bundle; parsnips, 3d a bundle; carrots, 3d a bundle; pumpkins, 3d lb. Ham: Whole. uncooked, ls 5d; cooked and sliced. 2s 3d lb. Bacon: Shoulder, ls 4d lb; side, ls 6d ib. Butter: Factory, first grade ls 6d, dairy ls 2d to ls 4d lb.
