KOHURATAHI NEWS

A euchre and table tennis evening was held in the schoolroom last week, a profit of £2 8s being handed over to the W.D.F.U. bomber fund. Prize-winners were: Euchre, Miss W. Wyatt and Mr. J. Carver. Table tennis: Miss M. Walsh and Mr. E. Nickel. Mr. J. Marrall, snr., won a competition for a box of homemade sweets, made and donated by Mrs. J. A. Carver. At the conclusion of the evening Mr. E. A, Wyatt, on behalf of the committee, thanked the retiring secretary and treasurer, Mr. G. L. East, who is leaving the district to go into camp with the '4th reinforcements. Mouritain Club Soci.il. Twenty-five members visited the clubroom of the Stratford Mountain Club on Friday night, when games were held and a short lantern lecture on an aerial flight from Inglewood to the National Park was given.
