STAFF FAREWELL

borough employees Messrs. A. Faine and S. M. Speck, two members of the Stratford Borough Council staff who have volunteered for active service and are to go into camp in the near future, were farewelled by inside and outside members of the borough staff at the borough depot on Friday. A presentation of a wallet and military brush and comb was made to each by the town clerk, Mr. G. C. Grace, on behalf of those present. Other speakers included Mr. R. Richards (foreman), Mr. C. Gatton (streets), Mr. A. E. Pollock (electrical inspector), Mr. E. P. Blanchard (domains caretaker), Mr. H. Dixon (inspector's departmenW, Mr. B, D. Beattie (offlce), Mr. P. White and Mr. L. Mclrines (electrical department) and Mr. A. R. Richards. The evening concluded with community singing.
