DAIRY CONTROL

WAIKATO RESOLUTIONS. At a meeting of the Otakiri branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, the following resolution was unanimously carried :—“This meeting deprecates attempts made to condemn the Dairy Control Board before it has had time to function.” The Cambridge branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union carried the following resolution at a meeting held on the 26th. inst-“In view of the fact that successful action on the part of the Dairy Control Board will detrimentally affect Mr. Stronach Paterson’s private financial interests, we urge upon the Government the vital importance of asking him for its immediate resignation as their nominee on the London agency and ask for the appointment in his place of a gentleman whose private interests will not clash with his public duties.”
