The Daily News says that information received in London lias increased the mystery of recent events on the Franco-Italian frontier. Italy has mounted 150 guns between San Remo and Ventimiglia, reconstructed the mountain roads to enable the passage of guns, and erected blockhouses. Similar precautions have been taken on the French side, where the forts have been re armed and re-occupied. An infantry regiment has been moved from Marseilles and is now stationed, at St. Martin Vesuble, close to the frontier.
